I was wondering if anyone knew if it is possible to use SQL 2016 SSRS SSAS but use a 2012 database as the "backend". the reason being our IT department do want to install SSRS and SSAS on our current cluster and as such we may need to purchase
a new sql instance for SSAS and SSRS and we may as well get 2016 if it is possible to use it in conjunction with our current 2012 db back end.
